To be eligible for the Resilient Roofing Rebate you will need to have a roof inspection report and proof of purchase from an approved third-party roofing inspector, confirming proper product (Class 4 impact-resistant product) and installation for a roof-replacement occurring between June 13, 2020 and June 1, 2021.
Sterling Alberta will issue a report of all findings, including photographic documentation. Our reports are configured to meet the ARCA Resilient Roof format, approved by the City of Calgary.
These specialized resilient residential inspections are $550.
Please note that the City of Calgary will cover $300 of the inspection cost in addition to the roofing rebate for approved applications with receipt showing proof of inspection. (as of June 2021, City of Calgary may change this without notice)
The Resilient Roofing Rebate program incentivizes upgrades from standard roofing products to impact-resistant products to protect homes from severe weather damage. From June 1 to December 31, 2021, The City will only accept applications from eligible homeowners whose roofs were impacted from a hailstorm in 2020. In January 2022, the program will accept applications from any eligible homeowner who replaced their roof (after June 1, 2021), or plans to replace their roof, with a certified impact-resistant product.
